Using Gen

Gen (gen.new) helps you create with AI-generated text, images, and particle artwork. These terms apply when you use the site. Use Gen only where you can legally agree to these terms; if you need a parent or guardian’s permission, get it first.

Keep your sign-in details secure and use an email address you control. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Your ideas and creations

You keep any rights you have in what you submit. You give Gen permission to process your prompts and related content to provide the service, generate artwork, and cache results.

Gen does not claim ownership of your generated creations. AI output may resemble other output, contain mistakes, or involve someone else’s rights. You are responsible for checking it before you use or share it. Copyright protection and permitted uses depend on applicable law.

Keep it respectful

Only submit content you have permission to use. Do not use Gen for illegal activity, exploitation, harassment, impersonation, or content that infringes someone’s privacy or intellectual property. Do not bypass safeguards, abuse generation limits, or disrupt the service.

Avoid submitting passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information. Gen’s Privacy Policy explains how prompts and account information are handled.

Availability and paid features

Gen is an evolving service. Features, generation speed, and usage limits may change, and results or uninterrupted availability are not guaranteed. Access may be limited or suspended to address misuse, security issues, or maintenance.

If a paid plan is offered, its price and billing terms will be shown before you purchase. Any mandatory cancellation, refund, and consumer rights continue to apply.

A few practical limits

AI-generated content is for creative exploration and should not be relied on as professional advice. To the extent allowed by law, Gen is provided as available, without warranties about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.

Changes and questions

These terms may be updated as Gen develops. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required.
